Atlanta Startup Weekend Announces 3 Judges

We are just one week out from StartupWeekend Atlanta and we are pleased to announce 3 of our judges.  We are welcoming back one old friend and two folks that our new to our community!  Always good to change things up a bit. 😉

Lance Weatherby brought the 1st StartupWeekend to Atlanta back in 2007.  We were one of the 1st cities to host the event outside of it’s birthplace, Boulder, CO due to Lance’s efforts.  I (Jen) attended my first StartupWeekend in November of 2008, based on Lance’s encouragement.  He was our lead organizer, he’s facilitated and he’s been a judge (at least one other time).  It’s great to have him back!

Bradley Kirkland is not new to Startups or Atlanta, but, we’ve recently just been introduced.  Bradley is an angel investor, startup fanatic and has been involved in StartupWeekends in New Orleans and Romania.  I’m super psyched for him to join us and give us some perspective from what he has seen at other StartupWeekends!

And lastly, Mike Hersh is joining us.  Mike is the new Director/GM of ATDC (the incubator hosting our event).  Mike is an angel investor and recently exited his 10 year old financial services startup.  Mike experienced his first StartupWeekend – the Maker Edition a few weeks back and was so enthused that he actually added running “hackathons” to my official responsibilities at ATDC. 😉
